So, to finish out the usage of it and to help another….. I’m letting someone else play and learn to use WordPress.

Have fun!!!

Well, I’ve spent a lot of time on this and I hesitate posting too much as it cost me $2000 and don’t want to give it away. That being said, I came home from the day job this past Monday to find half of everything gone and a “Sorry I did it this way…but, we need some time apart…” note. Great, my wife left. So, this week has been a head trip to say the least. My head is totally out of this at the moment and I need to get it back in. Wonderful timing, huh. Well, I will have to get the rest of everything downloaded and get focused again.

CRAP, Had to take a break to get my documents together for my accountant. I almost forgot to go thru the shoe box of receipts, enter them on my spreadsheet, etc. Running multiple side businesses and not keeping up with the paperwork = bulk time required prior to annual tax meeting. That being said, I’ve been busy getting organized for my meeting next week. That’s now done and back to the course.

What can I say except  “informaton overload”. So many hours of videos that I still haven’t had the time to watch them all. This is a good thing not in any way a bad thing. Anyway just in case anyone out there  actually found my blog and is checking in, here is an update…

Planning. Sounds like a no-brainer but, all to often it is just not done. Working in the corporate world, I tend to see “over planning”. So much so that it actually causes problems. Meetings, meetings, teleconferences (TC’s), message boards (databases), and more meetings creating a sea of documentation madness. The problem with this type of over planning is that the planners have no idea on what they are planning. They spend so much time at high level planning that no time is spent at the low level, where it eventually ends up. Usually laiden with issues that were not thought of. The people in the trenches don’t know anything.

Planning the course of development from square one, getting it down on paper, and creating a deadline. We have all heard it before, “Write it down on paper” and most of us don’t. I’m one who hasn’t. I mean it is in my head right. Why right it down? Writing it down is more concrete, it is there visible right in front of you. So, it is time to follow all those peoples advise before Frank, Frank, after Frank and right it down.

I’m going to have to figure out how to get rid of all these annoying social bookmarking tags that keep showing up after each post. I’ll have to check out the plug-in’s info. Would rather they stay in the column or maybe I’ll switch to another way. Newbie problems.
